Bean Self-Portrait Again (About The Photo Blog...)

So I've decided to just try and maintain this blog and not the one I established specifically for photos. As much as I wanted to showcase photos I've taken separate from what I may write about here, there's no sense in doing so. There's no reason this blog can't handle both pics and words.

Right now I'm planning on periodically taking the posts from that blog and transferring them here, then deleting the other blog entirely, but that may be too much work and I fear the pics might get lost, but we'll see. And the way Google has evolved, I fear that in the new Google Photos (which is sort of merged with their other photo storage system that is used in Blogger) if I do so there will be duplicates in Google Photos (actually, I'm pretty sure there are already). While I'm set for unlimited storage so duplicates aren't a serious problem, I'm trying to get more organized, not less, and these duplicates will annoy me.  UPDATE: I just deleted the first post but the picture is still in the photo album, so I can go ahead with the above plan. Yay!

Pondering A Blog Idea...

This is kind of vague but if you have any opinions or feedback I'd love to hear it.

I have an idea for a series of blog posts, or perhaps an entirely new site. I'm not sure how I want to go with this. If I follow through, it will be controversial because of my choice of words...well, word, to be exact. It wouldn't be, shall we say, politically correct. But I really feel it's the best way, if not the only way, to truly make my point on the subject matter. It would offend some people, and I'm a little conflicted about it.

I wonder, though, if I do it on here, or on another Blogger site, or some other free site, will I violate the Google (or some other company) terms of service? I never read these things closely, but then I never do anything which would violate them so it's not a big deal. But I don't want my blog removed or blocked or whatever by Big Brother.

Thoughts?

Memo to Google: Those AREN'T Tastykakes!

The Tasty Baking Company, makers of delicious Tastykake products, needs to get right on this. Check out the "sponsored link" at the top of this Google Search page for "tastykake":

This is so absolutely wrong on so many levels. Whether this heinous misinformation is due to Google or the company named in that link, it must be corrected immediately. Now, to make us all feel better, let's enjoy vicariously -- since we can't actually eat the building -- this replica of the former Tastykake bakery, made out of Tastykakes (note: if you click on the link it will be very large). We can also delight in the fact that their newly-opened plant in South Philadelphia will feature public tours starting next year. Mmmmm...wonder if there will be free samples for the touring public?
