Gotham: I saw enough improvement from the pilot to keep it on my watch list, at least for now. I can do without Jada Pinkett Smith as a new character, Fish Mooney. But on the other hand, Carol Kane guest-starred as Oswald Cobblepot's mother. She would have easily fit into one of the Tim Burton "Batman" movies.
The Big Bang Theory: Silliness as Wolowitz (who spent some time on the International Space Station a while back) was asked by NASA to throw out the first pitch at an Angels game. His athletic ability adding up to zero, he uses a replica of the Mars rover to deliver the first pitch. It goes very, very slowly. That, and giving him a microphone to address the crowd, made the entire storyline ridiculous.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: I want to see where they're going with the mystery of Skye's parentage. It appears she'll be meeting her father soon. Maybe she'll get a last name out of it and we'll know her as something other than "Skye."
Bones: The second episode wrapped up the big conspiracy storyline that began last season, and led to the death of Sweets. Now we see if the upcoming episodes give me enough reason to keep watching.
Scandal: Portia de Rossi is new to the show this season, as the head of the Republican National Committee who's at odds with the White House over the Grant administration's second-term goals. This is how you know you're watching fiction: President Grant, a Republican, is pushing for gun control and appoints a Democrat to be the new attorney general.
How to Get Away with Murder: Okay, I watched it again. Still think it's preposterous. But they had another scene between the gay student (now established to be gay) and the IT guy he's...into? Just using to get info for his cases? Still not convinced either way. And they're repeating scenes from the pilot involving the murder they're apparently trying to get away with, or help someone else get away with, or whatever it turns out to be -- except with some added details that put a new spin on what we previously saw. There's a lot of plot gymnastics going on here. I'm not sure they can stick the landing. I haven't set the DVR to record it every week but I'll give it at least another week.
The Simpsons: A few laughs involving Marge running Homer's fantasy football team while he's away with Bart on a boat called "The Relation Ship," which Marge booked them on so they can improve their...you know. Not one of the episodes people will be citing in the future as a classic.
Family Guy: A couple of laughs, but that's all. I started looking at stuff on my phone during it.
Mulaney: For some reason my DVR recorded this alleged sitcom after Family Guy ended. Awful. So, so awful. Run away.
