Action Comics 895: This issue guest-stars Vandal Savage, a supervillain who is immortal. This makes him unique. Unlike Superman and so many others who have died and been brought back to life, Savage doesn't die to begin with. Makes it much easier to keep track. Anyway, he has a compound that contains two of the spheres which have the Black Lantern energy that Luthor wants to access, so you just know these two aren't exactly going to cooperate with each other.
Batwoman 0: That's right, A zero issue before the "official" beginning of the new ongoing series in February. It's meant to serve as a reintroduction of sorts to the character, with the newly returned Bruce Wayne surreptitiously investigating the latest crimefighter to take on a Bat-identity -- both in and out of costume. Why is that distinction important?
One night Kate Kane's at a club and picks up a woman while Bruce, incognito, watches. So we now have strong circumstantial evidence that Batman's been in a gay bar! Yay!
Gotham City Sirens 17: Catwoman's been captured in an attempt to gain important information about Batman, and it's Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Zatanna and Talia al Ghul to her rescue. I feel like this book is getting back on track somewhat, combining the interesting story with the humor. So for now I'll keep buying.
Batman Beyond 6 (of 6): This miniseries concludes and sets up the upcoming ongoing series (which I don't plan to be buying, mainly because I buy too much already, really) in a satisfactory manner.
Simpsons Winter Wingding 5: As befits a yearly collection of winter-themed stories, this one includes the Simpsons trying to get to a ski resort, a school bus that's guaranteed to end snow days, and an explanation of how everyone in Springfield gets the flu.
Futurama Comics 52: Bender's not looking so hot, so he does what any robot would do: get some robotic cosmetic surgery. And then some more. And then some more...
